Earning the People's Trust
In a time where people feel less connected and heard by their elected officials, I feel it is extremely important for residents to not only feel heard but to know they have been heard.
As elected officials, our community trusts us to not only make the best decisions we can when it comes to the city budget and legislation, but our community trusts us to be honest with them and to be there for them when they need help with issues that affect their quality of life.
From parking issues, speeding, trash, the environment, city/county services, to advocating on their behalf, and more.
Communication with the community is key!
Change cannot happen unless problems are identified and problems are difficult to identify if we don't listen.
